Fog Lamps getting too old fashioned?

Hi, 
     ome manufacturers have done away with them completely on the lower end too, companies like, Honda, Hyundai, etc. but people have not noticed the missing detail.



Back in the day, Fog Lamps on the lower end of the front bumper made it known to people, that the car was the highest specification (Look at me, I'm rich, poor people). It also used to add a bit of glitz, but now, stuff like air curtains, DRLs or just a black plastic has taken their place.



Is it okay to let them go just yet?
